Michael Hordorwich is a talented musician and guitarist. Having a solid background in live performance playing Drums, Bass, Guitar. He is currently working on completing his debut album expected to be released in late 2005.

Here is a little history of Mike Hordorwich:

"Michael Steven Hordorwich was born on July 12, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois.
I grew up with music in life. My father played the trumpet and was responsible for my early exposure to music. Jazz music, like Herb Albert, Chuck Mangione, Bill Chase and Doc Sevrinson. My older brother played the piano, his indulgence with the piano made me want to play an instrument. When I was 13 yrs. old I knew what instrument I wanted to play when I heard Jimmy Page on Led Zeppelin IV. So I began lessons at Lombard music where my dad bought me my first guitar. My lessons were with an instructor named ìDanî he favored alternate tunings, finger picking and introduced me to blues influenced southern rock, such as Lynrd Sknyrd and Allman Brothers. Although the lessons with Dan were short-lived I learned a lot.

After my lessons with Dan I continued to practice on my own for 4 or 5 years. I discovered Yngwie J. Malmsteen and Vinnie Moore and was amazed that such guitar virtuosity and feel could exist in the same player. I was also influenced by the amazing song writing and musical ability of Prince and Lindsey Buckingham, three different styles of music and tons and tons of feel. My brother, Chris and I started writing music together in our teens. He introduced me to other players of different styles like Neil Schon, Steve Lukather and the Edge.

I realized that guitar was my life when I was 16. Sometime after that realization I decided that I needed a new axe. Which brought me to Roselle Music, a salesman there told me about a really talented guitar player, George Bellas, that was offering lessons. I took lessons from George Bellas at Roselle Music for 6-8 months. Those 6-8 months learning from George were invaluable in shaping me as a young guitar player. His insight and encouragement made me want to explore my potential and began a period in my life of playing in various bands.

I played in a couple of bands with my brother, Media and Bow Echo. Their music was the progressive type. I enjoyed playing in these bands and gave it my all. Although we did get radio exposure, youth and politics proved the projects to be short-lived.

I then played with various bands in the Chicagoland area. I also continued to write my own music and explore new styles of music. In the early 90ís when popular music strayed from guitar solos to song-writing and vocal, I found myself in different bands for the sole purpose of experience and not truly what I wanted to do as a musician. During this time I began to play bass guitar and later the drums. I played the drums and the bass guitar in a couple different bands. This experience led me to the realization that my music could consist of so much more than a guitar theme. That my guitar is not just a solo instrument but a song-writing tool, as much as a piano. I eventually bought a 16 track digital hard disc based studio. And began recording and making music for sole/soul enjoyment.

In 1999 I began a chapter in my music history playing lead guitar in a Led Zeppelin tribute band. The experience was so different, it was kinda surreal. People loved the music I was playing on stage as Jimmy Page but it left a void as a musician because I wasnít playing my own music.

For the past two years Iíve been working on my own music and when Iím not working on my own music I collaborate on some other projects with friends. I have most recently played bass for my brothers band, Basement Stories.

Currently, my musical experiences have taught me alot and have led me to want to pursue a solo project. Because of the aspiration he first brought out in me, I looked up George Bellas to produce my first official solo project. George is a truly gifted musician/producer/instructor. His level of dedication and passion to music is extraordinary.

My future plans, short term, are to finish my solo project and promote it. I would ultimately like to pitch my music for commercials, advertisements and movies. And long term, I would like to explore the engineering side of the studio. I enjoy the production component of music and would enjoy producing music for other musicians."
